If you’ve been in the personal training game for a while you will have heard all of these excuses before, over and over, by now you’re able to spot them a mile away. For those that can’t, below is a translation chart.
Hello my name is Anna Junghans I am an IKFF Certified Kettlebell Trainer, Kettlebell Level 1 + 2 Trainer, IKMF Rank 3 in KB Sport, Caveman Certified Trainer, TRX Trainer, Punch Fit Boxing Level 1+2 Trainer, Thump Boxing Level 1Trainer, Thump Level 2 Advanced Trainer, Certified in Nutrition for Sports, Diploma in Nutrition, Qualified and Certified Personal Trainer, Competed in Bodybuilding competition, competed in Crossfit competitions and Kettlebell Sport Marathon. I have owned and set up 3 functional kettlebell gyms in Australia and Vietnam, and lived in Spain, Vietnam & Thailand. Besides living in Australia I currently live in Spain again.:-) I am always on an open road with a willingness to learn, I love to learn about things I am passionate about. I love to surround myself with like-minded people whom I can always take something away from, whether that be an exercise, a quote of the day, or just generally learning something from them. I have not always been active in my life, as a matter of fact when I was a child I was very very overweight, not healthy and Hated Exercise! Whenever there was P.E. period I would always fake sick or make out something was hurting just to get out of it. :-) These days it's completely different. I am the exact opposite. I started training when I was 19 and ever since that day have kept going, kept moving my body. I have completed quite a few Adventure races, I competed in a 24hr race, Triathlon, I ran a half marathon (21.5kms) and I really didn't start to get serious with my training until the late 90's, where I trained up for a Bodybuilding Competition, it took me over a year to really get my body fat down and then once that was over I really started to get Serious with Functional Training, that was when I was introduced to Kettlebells. Some of my Personal bests in training are 500 KB Snatches, 500 Swings, 500 Double Unders and 500 Pushups all completed in one session, it took me 2hrs and 48mins. 28 day Swing Challenge completed 2 times, 1st time a total of 14,401 Swings, 250 unbroken at once with a 20kg KB. Most Swings completed in 1 day 1 session 1,600 with 20kgs, 2nd time 30kg KB 10,001 swings completed, TGU 28kgs, 500 Clean & Press challenge with 14kgs completed in 45mins. Kettlebell Sports Gold Medalist Half Marathon completed 536 unbroken Snatches in 30mins achieved IKMF ranking level 3. I mention these as I just like people to know when it comes to me talking about “Mental Toughness” that I know what I'm talking about through my own personal experiences and achievements. The training I do is not normal at times to the average gym goer and as you can see is quite high in volume, I like to mix it up with Crossfit and keep the variety on board, always being constantly challenged and mentally stimulated. My goals are to keep my Mind Active and to Keep my body moving on a day to day basis, staying fit, flexible and always in “Tune” with my Mind and My Body! I would like to know that I will still be able to do handstands, kettlebells, and deadlifts and be able to tie my shoelaces when I'm 90years or more...
