One is simply not qualified to call themselves a kettlebell trainer without having passed this course and demonstrated knowledge of all kettlebell training fundamentals.
There was a lot of information and the focus on grips was excellent. I learned a lot more than I was expecting to, which was a really pleasant surprise. It also made me realize how much other courses I’ve done are lacking in content and correct information.
The feedback received for video submissions was also very quick.—L. Hilliard

Kettlebell Fundamentals Trainer L3.0 Certification Feedback. I was unsure how this course would go as I have not done anything like this before. I honestly thought it would be easier and I would get it done quicker. I am very glad that it wasn’t that way. The feedback you gave, although sometimes frustrating that I hadn’t done better, ultimately led to me actually drastically improving my technique. I really appreciate the level of time and communication as it made this course worth the effort and money. I would definitely recommend it.
The simple breakdowns of the fundamental movements were very valuable. I used to think I knew how to do a proper kettlebell swing. after weeks of practice and feedback, I now can say that my swing is ‘good’ with room to grow.
I also found a lot of value in the grips. I have watched hundreds of videos online of people performing kettlebell movements with no change in grips. the course was eye-opening to me as to their importance in proper mechanics and injury prevention.—Ben Rogers

Why take this course?
Apart from the fact that this is the only course that lays such a proper foundation for kettlebell training, and that the material has been put together over a decade, you should take this course and lay the foundations to become a kettlebell PRO trainer.
How does it work?
Anyone anywhere in the world can participate in this online course, all you need is an internet connection, and a recording device in the form of a smartphone, go-pro, or camera.
Directly after you sign-up you will receive several links to download the study material in the form of PDF, audiobook, and/or video. You can then study at your own pace, complete exams, and submit assessments at your own leisure, as long as that’s within the time assigned to complete this course. You will get your own assessor whom you can communicate with and ask questions.
What can do you after passing?
When you successfully pass this course, you will have a sound understanding of how to work safely with kettlebells, use them in training, and/or train clients in the most important and popular kettlebell moves. You will understand how to progress clients step by step from knowing nothing to swinging, pressing, and other popular kettlebell exercises.
The material covered is extremely detailed but not complicated nor difficult, anyone can learn what is taught, those who’ve been training for several years, or have a trainer background quite possibly will already know a quarter of the course and can pass with flying colors.
How long does it take?
A seasoned kettlebell enthusiast could potentially go through the material, complete the exams, submit the assessments and pass in two to three days. A novice to kettlebell training could potentially do the same thing in 4 to 5 days. Most people like to take their time and spend several hours a week reading, completing one or two exams and submitting an assessment, as long as there is regular time devoted to the course each week, one can complete this course within 4 weeks on average. Each participant will have 3 months to complete the course, with no exceptions other than those requests for an extension on physical assessments, meaning that an extension can be provided, for example, to brush up on your technique and submit your video(s) up to 6 months after the start of the course.
Cavemantraining has an extremely high standard and a 90% pass grade is required to receive a certificate. The exams are open book. The assessments are physical and need to be correct before receiving a passing score, the physical assessments are the only parts of this course for which an extension can be requested, which will be assessed on a case by case basis. There are no physical demands that will be put on the students like having to complete 100 reps of a certain exercise, technique and the ability to teach is what will be judged. When you continue your education with us you will have plenty of opportunities to go through physical and mental challenges to test your ability, this is not that stage. What is a certification?
I’ve been using KB for years now and I wanted to explore more creative ways to use them. Go there for training Ideas and great online courses.

*on average only half of that is consumed

When do I need to re-certify?
Any trainer that advertises their certification needs to re-certify every 5 years. The cost for re-certification is never more than 25% of the initial certification cost. Your previous certification level is automatically renewed if you take the next level certification, whether passing or not. That means if after 4 years you want to stay current, you can take level 3.1 and no matter what, this keeps your L3.0 active, hence, valid for another 5 years.
Does online certification provide the same quality?
Yes absolutely, and even better. Most physical certifications are usually completed within 1 or 2 days, our online certification takes longer than that and provides the student with the time to study properly, and repeat subjects that might require additional work. Each student learns differently and might require different levels of assistance, with our extremely high-quality course each student will receive study material in different formats, audio, and visuals to learn at their own pace and receive assistance from our top kettlebell trainers.
This product is part of Cavemantraining’s online courses and certifications.
Question: I have years of experience, should I take this course?
We’ve had many people come through that asked us this question. After some discussion, we were able to convince them to take this course instead of a more advanced course. In all cases, the student came out on the other end thanking us for the additional knowledge and exercise corrections that perfected their swings, cleans, rows, and other fundamental kettlebell exercises. If you are not 100% certain that you are doing things right and don’t know the correct kettlebell progression, then take this course.
CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Testimonial for Online Kettlebell Certification
I was very skeptical at first to purchase this online kettlebell course, just because I thought I knew enough about kettlebells through my time in CrossFit.
This is the first kettlebell cert I have taken, and there was a lot more to learn than I could have ever expected. In this career, you have to be open to hearing other people out and looking into different forms of fitness, and this was another step for me. I was honestly very impressed with the amount of knowledge I was able to obtain from this course.
The course never became redundant or boring, I enjoyed completing the lessons, there are some things that are easy and you may already know, which you can read through and complete easily. There are other parts of the course that require more thought and more focus on what needs to be completed. The video portions of the course were very fun and the feedback from Taco was great to help me become a more efficient athlete.
This cert was a great addition to my CrossFit L1 certificate I recommend that any CrossFit trainer or other trainer complete this course to add to their knowledge.

The online kettlebell trainer L3 course is full of information. It’s presented in a logical fashion allowing you to move through it without being overwhelmed. The flexibility of the online format is perfect – you could race through the material in a few days or complete it when life allows. Within the course, there’s a great mix of practical, theory, and research assessments.
My favorite part of the course was the feedback obtained from my coach during the practical assessments. It was detailed, concise, and invaluable, probably worth the cost of the course alone.
My name is Grant, I’m a full-time CrossFit L1 trainer and part-time Strength and Conditioning coach in Rochester, N.Y. I spent the last week and a half engulfed in Cavemantrainings online Kettlebell Fundamentals Trainer L3.0 course. After successful completion of the course, I can confidently say it has made me a better coach and athlete. Cavemantraining avoided the tedious and mundane tasks that most online courses seem to follow. I felt engaged and looking forward to whatever lessons were in my line of sight.
The Cavemantraining course gave me cues I will provide to my athletes, as well as making me aware of incorrect, or subtle mistakes I was making in my movements. I would recommend this to any avid crossfitter, as well as a personal trainer that incorporates kettlebell movements in their workouts.
