Where the world’s most comprehensive kettlebell education has been created and sold since 2009.
Cavemantraining is the content and shop arm of International Kettlebell University (IKU). It’s where all IKU workouts, courses, certifications, and books are created and sold. Since 2009 we’ve published the education that has trained more than 24,000 students and certified kettlebell trainers around the world.
One ecosystem, three brands
International Kettlebell University (IKU) is the umbrella behind three connected brands, and each one has a clear job.
- IKU (International Kettlebell University). The institution. It sets the standards, runs the accreditation and certifications, and governs the global trainer network.
- Cavemantraining. The content engine and shop, and where you are right now. All IKU workouts, courses, certifications, and books are created and sold through Cavemantraining.
- Kettlebell Monster. The all-in-one training platform and the home of our membership. Workouts, courses, community, progress tracking, coaching, and the creator program for trainers. Free to join.
Where it started
In 2004 we opened our first fitness business in Brisbane and grew it into some of Australia’s biggest boot camps. In 2009 we opened our first functional-training gym and started Cavemantraining, with a second gym following in 2010 and a third in Vietnam in 2014. As the gyms wound down, we went all in online, with one goal: make the best kettlebell education in the world available to anyone, anywhere. Cavemantraining has been here since 2009, and always will be.
How to train with us
The simplest way in, and the heart of what we do, is a membership.
- Membership. A membership on Kettlebell Monster brings everything together in one place: 200+ professional workouts, courses, programming, progress tracking, and the community. No piecing it together from a dozen sources. It’s all here.
- Courses. Included with your membership, or buy them individually. Kettlebell Fundamentals runs from L1 self-study through L6 Coach. The Master The Kettlebell series currently covers Swing, Squat, Clean, Snatch, and Press, with more on the way. Specialty courses cover Combos & Flows, Mobility, and Kettlebell Sport, with group instruction and programming courses on the way.
- Online certifications. The credential layer. IKU certifications are earned through a genuine, personally reviewed assessment of real skill. They are not a weekend rubber stamp.
- Books. More than 20 kettlebell books, from exercise encyclopedias to programming guides, sold worldwide.
No one else has what we have
We’ll say it plainly. There is no other organization with a kettlebell ecosystem like ours. Kettlebell Monster is the only platform that pulls everything into one place: thousands of training videos from full workout walkthroughs to exercise breakdowns, a growing course library, our books, programming, progress tracking, and community. It’s built to serve a complete beginner and a working trainer side by side.
But the real difference is depth. Most organizations teach an exercise and stop. “Here’s the press,” and that’s it. We treat every exercise as a family. The press isn’t one movement. It’s a whole family of variations, and we cover all of them, each one explained in granular detail with the biomechanics behind it. The swing, the snatch, the clean, the curl, the squat, and the rest get the same treatment. That’s more than 30 core kettlebell exercises and over 330 documented variations, a depth of coverage you won’t find anywhere else.
If you want surface level, there are a hundred places to go. If you want to actually understand the kettlebell, every exercise, every variation, and why each one works, there’s one. That’s not a slogan. It’s just what we’ve built.
A standard, not a trend
We don’t rubber-stamp credentials and we don’t chase fads. Our courses are built to a professional standard, our certifications are personally assessed one on one, and our students have left more than 1,800 verified reviews. When something carries the Cavemantraining name, it has been built to the IKU standard.
