As someone who is over half a century of age and what I consider trains tough, I am proud to say that I have never experienced any major injuries, no hip replacements or other surgeries, and pretty much never sick. I attribute this to training hard but training smart and becoming in tune with the body and mind. Of course, an extremely important factor is also the right nutrition and mindset.
A quick introduction to the person who designed the workouts, i.e., me: I have over 2 decades of kettlebell experience, training people across the world, owned three gyms, and obtained certification with StrongFirst SFG2, RGSI, IKFF, IKSFA, CrossFit, I have reached Kettlebell Sport Rank 1, and have a background in Martial Arts as a rusty BJJ Purple Belt. I mention this so that you can have confidence in the quality of this product and the training methodology.
I aim to explain and present everything as simply as possible without complex terms or going into too much detail.
The workouts will be presented in an easy-to-read tabular format but also a linear format so that all layout preferences are addressed.
A separate easy-to-print document is also available for download to people who purchased the book; this will make it easy to take the workouts with you to the gym and also to make notes.
A whole online platform and social network for kettlebell enthusiasts is also included so that you can easily record your scoring for a workout, or you can be more specific and record against a task. You can also record notes for a workout, and you will collect all your favorite workouts in one easy-to-access place if you review/rate the workouts.
The social network that is dedicated to kettlebell enthusiasts allows you to interact with others, create your kettlebell profile, find workout buddies, and so much more. In short, you are not just buying a book with the world’s best kettlebell workouts.
Reviews and praise
“If you are looking for challenging kettlebell-focused workouts, this is the book to purchase. The combination of strength, mobility, flexibility, power, and endurance in the sessions Taco has assembled here far surpasses other training materials I have purchased from top Kettlebell organizations. These workouts have inspired me to work harder and aim for more.” —Jeff Hjelmstad
“Kettlebell workouts have been critical stress relief for me and my friends. I’ve had several of Taco’s books (Fundamentals, as well as Workouts & Challenges 1 & 2) sitting on a shelf at home for a few years, but when gyms closed here in Los Angeles, it was a catalyst to start working through them seriously. The material is easy to follow, and there’s a great variety of programming that’s kept me entertained, enhanced mobility, and helped to build strength – bonus is that swinging a kettlebell makes it so much easier to swing my ~40 lb three-year-old who’s constantly begging to be thrown in the air :-D” —Verified Kindle Customer
“Taco has an incredibly positive, supportive, and innovative approach to using kettlebells. His writing style is straightforward and very clear. He also emphasizes adapting the workouts to fit your own specific fitness needs. Taco is also very responsive to emails and open to questions.” —Craig Kabert
“Kettlebell Workouts 5 is a must-have whether you’re a kettlebell journeyman or a beginner. The various kettlebell workouts are arranged with a natural flow just like this book, each workout is also guided on how to push you further. Within the book are also links to various social platforms to join fellow enthusiasts on the same journey” —Chris Carrington
“How do I structure a Kettlebell workout? Of course, people could go “Simple and Sinister”, but a Kettlebell aficionado needs some variety in his training. This is where Taco Fleur’s new book comes in. Taco Fleur is the founder of Cavemantraining and has already written several Books about Kettlebell training where he focused on the Kettlebell fundamentals. Kettlebell Workouts and Challenges accompanies this foundational work presented in the other books by providing a huge list of workouts.” —Fingolfin
“This a well-written book detailing various kettlebell routines suitable to do at home with minimum equipment requirements. The book starts with explaining the terminology used as well the various symbols used to indicate phases of the workouts. Each workout has a link to a YouTube video showing the execution of the workout moves. I practice BJJ, so I was very interested in the posted BJJ workout of the day (WOD). It is very dynamic with a lot of movement and is targeted towards working multiple muscle groups simultaneously. I found that routine to be more dynamic than a typical kettlebell circuit. I like the book and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a collection of full workouts that work well and are explained in great detail.” —Stefan Stoianov
