Students will learn how to assess themselves and their clients, enabling them to identify common mistakes and correct them. Learn simple cues that they can use during teaching.
Students will learn various squat variations and understand the goals they should be programmed for, enabling them to design highly effective workouts.
Complete exams, submit essays, perform practice activities, and submit for assessment to receive feedback on form and technique from highly qualified kettlebell coaches.

NASM Accredited Online Kettlebell Course with CEUs
The L2 option with CEUs offers 1.8 CEUs credits after completing the online course. Download your digital certificate from us, which lists the number of CEUs, and present it to NASM to claim your credits. There is also the option to become officially certified and get both an official certificate of certification and your CEU credits.

IKU™ places an extremely high emphasis on form and technique. This course will explain how to perform over 20 squat variations, all with their own unique benefits, how to identify issues and mistakes, more importantly, how to fix those. After completing this course, whether with just the content, with exams and essays, or with a full certification, you will gain a tremendous amount of knowledge to enhance your training or that of others, and increase the chances of remaining injury-free.
After taking this course, you will be able to:
1) Identify problems during the squat and how to correct those
2) Demonstrate countless squat variations with good form and technique
3) Break down exercises and build progressions
4) Explain how to execute each squat variation
5) Design kettlebell workouts
6) Assess yourself or clients for proper squat form
Course Outline
All study resources are provided digitally in video, course, and ebook format.
Assessment methods are essays, exams, and may include skill assessments.
Upon passing the course, the student will be able to perform all squat variations, identify common mistakes and correct those, and assess the squat for form or limitations and correct those.
The course consists of lessons, topics, exams, practice activities, and assignments.
The course is designed such that a beginner can take the course and progress step-by-step via a sensible path. This same path of progress can be used to teach.
The course is considered foundational, but it contains intermediate to advanced squat variations; however, there is no expectation from the student to be able to perform these in L2.
Options
There are several options for Master The Kettlebell Squat, which you can access on the dropdown at the top. You can enroll at any level.
- L1 Material gives you access to all study material, book, videos, and course.
No exams, assignments, or certificates are included. - L2 Course gives you access to everything from L1, plus essays, exams, a certificate of participation, and the course.
There are no physical passing requirements or coaching included. - L2 Course + NASM CEU gives you access to everything from L2 and 1.8 CEUs upon passing.
- L3 Trainer Certification gives you access to everything from L2, skill assessments, coaching, and an official certificate of trainer certification after passing.
There are physical passing requirements. The student has 3 months to complete the course, which is ample time. - L3 Trainer Certification + NASM CEU gives you access to everything from L3 and 1.8 CEUs upon passing.
- L4 Teacher Certification gives you access to everything from L3 and additionally requires you to teach someone.
- L5 Athlete Certification gives you access to everything from L4 and additionally requires more rigorous physical tests.
- L6 Coach Certification gives you access to everything from L5 and requires additional exams.

Recertification
L3 provides 2 years of certification. L4 provides 3 years. L5 provides 4 years. L6 provides 5 years. Passing any other L3 or higher level of our certifications before your certification expires will automatically renew any certifications you have with us. Completing a higher level of the same certification will also renew your certification on passing. To recertify only in your expiring certification, you will need to pass the exams and physical assessments, which are charged at 50% of the certification cost.
Coaches
For level 3 and up, your coach/assessor will be either SFG2 Taco Fleur or Master of Sport Anna Junghans. In the case of extremely busy enrollment periods, your coach/assessor may be another IKU™ coach.
