How to use this course

Let me take you on a journey and an adventure… a kettlebell adventure

Hello, my name is Taco Fleur, and just like my name, I’m not an ordinary guy, but at the same time I am… but different. I like to drag kettlebells to places no kettlebell has gone before and teach people the art of kettlebell training.

This course is broken down into 21 days and each day brings a new progression in your kettlebell journey with drills and tasks you can perform, but whether you perform them or not is your own choice. With most new exercises I will also list a suggested program to learn and practice the exercise, these are usually to be completed over a period of 2 to 4 weeks, but you can alter as you see fit. The programming is done from the viewpoint that I don’t personally know you, nor have I assessed or screened you, and you’re completely new to kettlebells.

  1. Watch the video
  2. Read the summary
  3. Complete the optional drills or tasks
  4. Film yourself for an optional assessment
  5. Use the program to refine your technique for each exercise

When you complete one day and move to the next make sure you move along the drilling and training from the previous days but prioritizing the current day. This means that if you’re on day 12 performing exercise XYZ and the task was 100 reps on day 11 for exercise ABC, then you reduce the reps for ABC (the previous exercise/day) but you keep including it in your training until you’ve mastered the exercise/task.

Beginners and progression

This course is designed for beginners and is about kettlebell training overall. Although the whole idea is preparing you for a workout, a workout is not what you’ll be doing on the first few days/units. All in all, there is over 2 hours of video with the content building upon the previous day/unit, but if you’re someone who wants to get stuck into it and pick up a kettlebell or already know about warming up and proper mind-muscle connection, then skip ahead to day 4 or 5. But, as a coach, I don’t recommend doing this, I suggest to invest the time in kettlebell training and it will give you so much more.

The course is designed to be completed over 21 days, you can complete it sooner, but when you take longer it will affect feedback provided if you ask for it, meaning, if you submit a video for the kettlebell swing, ask for feedback, and then submit the next video 3 months later I can’t remember nor have the time to look up where you left off. So I can highly recommend to stick to the schedule and devote at least an hour a day to the course from the day you started,
