If you want to get into kettlebell training, you can’t go past the clean, as simple as this exercise might sound, there is a whole lot involved, and is usually an area in which beginners get injured. I will cover most common injuries and how to avoid them.

This book is for at-home kettlebell enthusiasts, for crossfitters, and for fighters. I include quite a few variations of the clean that are great for MMA or BJJ fighters. This book is for beginners, but also for those advanced, as I guarantee you that it has information you’ve not seen before.

The book/course comes with detailed descriptions, photos, and links to videos. There is also the option to take an online exam or become certified through Cavemantraining.



A clean can be a transition to another move, for example performing 10 swings, clean, and perform 10 shoulder presses. A clean can be included in a combo, for example in the clean and jerk, clean and press, or clean and front squat. A clean can be an exercise on its own, for example, 10 dead cleans on the left and right side, 10 gorilla cleans, or 10 double kettlebell swing cleans.

    If you have any interest in kettlebells or any other less than conventional training methods and done any amount of searching online for proper technique, then you just may be familiar with Taco Fleur. The man is an athlete, BJJ Purple Belt and a trainer with a gift for breaking down the technical aspects of any exercise into easy to comprehend explanations and communicating this via many different media. You may have seen him in some of the many YouTube videos that feature him demonstrating proper kettlebell form, or maybe you’ve come across and read some of his writing on kettlebells and fitness on facebook.
    As an aspiring kettlebell practitioner hungry for information, I was excited to get my hands on a copy of his book Kettlebell Clean Variations. 70 different variations of the Kettlebell Clean. This book of Kettlebell Knowledge is an absolute must for any Kettlebell Practitioner. A fantastic source of information that I will be using to develop my portfolio of Kettlebell techniques. Everything flows from the KB Swing & also the KB Clean. The possibilities are endless then also for the KB Squat, Press (Push Press), Jerk, Windmill… The list goes on.
    Lots of details for beginners, so please don’t think that these techniques are beyond your capabilities, but also a comprehensive range of techniques that will also challenge & develop the advanced KB practitioner. I have been utilising KB’s since 2008, studying books and techniques from sources such as Pavel, Steve Cotter, Kenneth Jay, Steve Maxwell, Mike Mahler and Geoff Neupert. This book is right up there with these Kettlebell Elites! Thank you Taco Fleur!

    Nice course, well built ! Learn at your own pace. Read the book and carefully watched the video on youtube twice 🙂

    The way Cavemantraining set this up, it’s easy to follow, really verified if you understand the concept and technic as well.
    I recommand taking this course, don’t just buy the book … It’s not very much more expensive and you get so much more (assessment and coaching on your form, Taco really takes is time to give you constructive feedback !)

    Be ready to video shoot and have at least a pair of bells to do the exercises. I tooked the L3.1 course and had to shoot 20+ videos for assessment, but worth the time doing it 🙂

    Occasionally you read, or see something, that shows that you not as knowledgeable about a subject as you thought, that’s what this great book did to me.

    I have been using kettlebells for over 6 years and now I read this book and realise that I am only scratching the surface of my KB knowledge.

    The attention to detail and readability makes this book appeal to everyone from beginners to advanced, and will help you nail the correct form for each clean (who knew there was so many!!)

    Great book, got me to go back to basics and improve my KB workouts.
