The second most important thing is learning to analyze, identify, and correct any mistakes you’re making that cause injury. This book will help you do both, with in-depth explanations, self-assessments, and techniques for injury prevention.

When the proper knowledge or technique is lacking kettlebell training can cause injuries and annoyances. If your kettlebell training is hindered because of:

“This book should be a must have in every KB enthusiast library. I am 40 years old and a beginner in the Kettlebell world. I have done other sports in the past (non-weightlifting) and I have collected a couple of injuries through the years (Shoulder Slap Tear, Right Knee ACL replacement surgery and low back pain due to a sedentary lifestyle). I was looking for a sport that can help me to get stronger and at the same time help me with healing my injuries and through recommendations of friends and internet research I got to know Caveman training. Due to my injuries I have learned that before starting any type of training, one should develop proper technique and understand the risks that could develop if the sport is not done properly and since I wanted to start in the Kettlebell world I started to look for literature that addressed this topic. I found a lot of videos, websites, influencers, etc. that “teach” how to use a KB but none of them addressed the potential injuries and risks, and how to mitigate them, until I found Caveman training and was recommended this Book directly by Taco Fleur.

The book “Preventing Kettlebell Training injuries” provides a very wide and comprehensive understanding on what are the risks of injury when using a KB in all body parts, but the best part of it is that it teaches you how to mitigate that risk of injury or pain by teaching the proper technique. The book provides an insight on how all the parts of the body participate on the different KB techniques, and it also provides potential causes for pain or discomfort. It has interactive materials with drawings, pictures, and links to videos where you can compare a wrong technique with a correct technique, this for me was an eye-opener, because it’s very visual, and the mistakes are very easy to identify.

As a beginner, at the moment I am solely focusing on improving my double hand swing, and my turkish get up, and thanks to the insight of the book i have been able to improve my technique and mobility, and definitively reduce pain in my back and joints. I will continue using this book as I progress, as the base for my development on more advance techniques. I highly recommend this book to any KB enthusiast at all levels, especially for people like me that struggle with some injuries or pain, this will help you to really enjoy the sport and progress steady.”

Since I am new to kettlebell training I needed to start the training program at the same time as the safety training program so that I could understand the terms and techniques discussed in the safety training. They work really well together for me. Both training sessions are excellent and exceed my expectations. Great job Taco!

A highly informative book from start to finish. The content and structure of the book makes it easy to identify specific areas of the body that are more prone to injury based on improper technique or not enough rest etc. There are many useful tips within the book to help you understand how to improve your technique and form for a number of common kettlebell exercises. The images and illustrations really help to get the key points across. I’ve gained a great amount of knowledge from reading this book and regard it as an essential resource for anyone with an interest in kettlebell training. Regardless of the level you’re at, there is a lot to learn from this book.
