The only right way, is the safe way! Don’t get caught up in “this is the only correct way to do …”, if it’s safe, if it works the muscles you want to work, if it works towards your goals, then it’s the correct way. During your kettlebell journey you will find that there’s a lot of different ways of doing an exercise, none are bad, unless they are unsafe, learn all and decide for yourself. ~ Taco Fleur

No questioning!

You might have participated in certifications where you felt like you could not question the teacher, because, hey, they know their stuff! Well, this is not one of those, feel free to question.

I don’t know if you’re into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I am, the other day I saw this article about a white belt (novice) inventing a new submission, the submission is awesome “Buggy choke” unlike seen before! In most clubs it would be like “Who is this white belt, to come and show us something!?” in this particular club, the Black belt (teacher) fully supported, gave the student credit, and helped put it out to the world. Consider yourself in the same environment.

Getting started

You can choose to get comfortable and first read all the material that came with your course, and then go through the online exams. I find that for me the best way to learn is to grab a light kettlebell and try out some of the things covered while reading, that way it sticks better, but you can dive straight into the course. You’ll find that the content from the book is repeated in each lesson as audio and text, this might be enough for you, i.e you read/listen to it online, and then head straight into the exams and assessments.

Whatever you decide, find a process that works for you. I recommend not to rush it as we have a 90% passing score required. If things are ever unclear, make sure to use the included time with your assessor.

Good luck and looking forward to presenting you with a certificate that allows to call yourself a certified Caveman Kettlebell Trainer.
